This year, thatinnovation and commitment to student excellence were recognized when WCPA was named “School of the Year” by the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA).

Awarded the Hart Vision Equity & Innovation Award, this recognition highlights WCPA’s dedication to providing a world-class education to students in the Central Valley and developing the next generation of leaders. The Hart Vision Equity & Innovation Awards recognize leaders and schools demonstrating a commitment to equity, inclusion, and excellence by advocating for all students, sharing best practices, and mentoring others to strengthen the public charter school community.

Founded in 2009 by Lynda and Stewart Resnick, WCPA offers two free state-of-the-art TK–12 public charter schools serving 2,400 students in Lost Hills and Delano, California. With passionate educators, a focus on health and wellness, and state-of-the-art facilities, students achieve remarkable outcomes. In 2025, 50% of students graduated with an associate degree, while each year over 90% complete A–G requirements and 70% enroll in four-year universities, setting students on a lifelong path to success.

We are deeply honored to receive the 2026 Hart Vision Equity & Innovation Award. This recognition reflects our students’ determination, our families’ trust, and our unwavering belief in what is possible when every young person is given the opportunities and support to thrive. We are proud of our commitment to help build a more equitable public education system in California, and we look forward to continuing our work of developing the next generation of leaders in the Central Valley.
